The 10

Sun Nov 26, 2006, 3:30 PM
Okay, here is something I rarely do... doing something. Anyways, this game, which seems to exist on sites such as this (or per-maybe-haps only this one? :o) Anywho, I must do this, because I am so obligated to do so!

The rules are simple, you reply to this journal, and I go through the ten first unique comments (so no one posts like ten times alone, and feels awesome about it, cause you would seriously suck!), and visit the respective users' pages, and find 3 items I like from their gallery. That is of course, if they have 3 items. And if I like them. I hope I do.

There is a catch, like with anything that seems like "I don't have to do shit"-games, you have to do it as well.

Do I hate myself? You can get the answer if you participate.

"Tired of staring at TV."

TV is not what it used to be, indeed. And it is also my birthday today.

Myst Reader Book - Just Arrived

Thu Jan 19, 2006, 5:58 AM
A book I have been waiting for; the Myst Reader book has finally arrived. Although it is not a long time ago I ordered it, I am still glad it arrived. I have not yet started to read it, as I am reading Lord of the Rings for the time being (oh and, the version of Lord of the Rings I have is very old, accordingly it is the first print when it was combined into a single book).

But as far as I know, this book (in question: Myst Reader) is a combination of three books; The Book of Atrus, The Book of Ti'ana and The Book of D'ni. Being 930 pages thick, I imagine it will take some time, although compared to the LotR's 1100+ pages, I feel I can bare with it, besides I am really looking forward too read it.

It takes place in the Myst world, and the two first books are about exploration, while the last book is a story of how their world works, and history, etc. The first book is about Atrus going outside of D'ni and unto the planet of Earth, where D'ni exists under some caves in Southern New Mexico. The second book is about Ti'ana (known among humans as Anna) who finds the enterance to D'ni and becomes the first woman from the outside to reach D'ni. Both books explains what they see, and hopefully also relations to other things.

I strongely suggest this book, as it is probably exicting for those who likes a bit off Sci-Fi book. And better than that, the people who dwelts the lands of D'ni also have their own language.
